Fall Protection User
The Fall Protection User Training course by AFAS is a WorkSafeBC-compliant, NCSO-approved safety training program that teaches workers how to protect themselves when working at heights.
Whether you’re on a construction site, in industrial maintenance, or performing work on elevated platforms, this comprehensive one-day course equips you with the skills to identify fall hazards, choose the right fall protection system, inspect equipment, and plan safe work procedures before leaving the ground.
Delivered by certified industry instructors, this hands-on fall protection course combines real-world equipment demonstrations with CSA Z1009 and OHS Regulation Part 11 standards. Participants learn not only how to use fall arrest and restraint systems but also how to recognize when they’re unsafe — and what to do about it.
By the end of this training, every student will understand the hierarchy of fall protection, proper harness fitting and inspection, anchor point selection, and rescue planning essentials. Graduates earn a three-year Fall Protection Certificate accepted across British Columbia and Canada, proving compliance with both employer and regulatory safety requirements.
Whether you need fall protection certification for construction, roofing, warehousing, or general industry, this course gives you the confidence and technical knowledge to work safely — and return home safely — every day.
